Auto-approval skips the Pending state — bookings move straight to Approved if the slot is available.
When to use it #
- High-volume sites where manual approval is the bottleneck.
- Self-serve bookings where the provider doesn’t need to vet customers.
- Pro WooCommerce checkout flows where payment is the gate (paying = approving).
When NOT to use it #
- Custom forms collect information that requires admin review.
- Booking eligibility depends on customer history.
- Capacity constraints aren’t fully modeled in MyBookaro (e.g. resource conflicts not in the slot grid).
How to enable #
Settings → General → Auto-approve new bookings.
Per-provider override #
Providers can opt out individually from their dashboard. The site-wide setting is the default; the provider override wins.
Side effects #
- The “approved” email fires immediately on booking creation.
- Reminders queue immediately.
- Calendar sync runs immediately (Pro).
