MyBookaro runs on three real lanes. Pick the one that matches your site — this single decision determines provider mapping, services model, and where the booking UI goes.
The three lanes #
| Lane | Best for | Listings required? |
|---|---|---|
| MyListing Directory | Sites already running the MyListing theme | Yes |
| Single Business | One business with no directory at all | No |
| Generic Directory | Custom CPT directories or non-MyListing builds | Yes (any CPT) |
Quick decision tree #
- Running the MyListing theme? → MyListing Directory.
- You’re one business (a salon, a clinic, a coach)? → Single Business.
- Everything else (custom directory, classified site, marketplace) → Generic Directory with one of three presets.
What changes per lane #
- Provider mapping — how MyBookaro knows who is the bookable provider for a given page.
- Services model — Provider Only, Admin Catalog Only, or Hybrid.
- Placement model — directory templates, normal pages, shortcodes/blocks, or CSS selector insertion.
- Required pages — booking page, services page, provider dashboard, customer dashboard.
You can change lanes later by re-running the Setup Wizard. See the lane-specific articles in the Lanes category for full setup steps.
