Exceptions override the weekly schedule for specific dates. Use them for holidays, time off, or special hours.
Two kinds of exceptions #
- Closed exception — block a date entirely. No slots that day.
- Custom hours exception — replace the weekday’s normal hours with a one-off range (for example, half-day Saturday).
Where to set them #
Provider Dashboard → Calendar view → click on the date → Add exception.
Copy a week #
The provider dashboard has a copy-week action: select a source week’s exceptions and apply them to a target week. Useful for repeating schedules (a recurring half-day Friday for a quarter, for example).
Storage #
{prefix}bookaro_provider_exceptions table. Each row is provider_id + date + is_open flag (+ optional custom hours).
API #
REST endpoints exist to bulk-fetch and copy exceptions: /bookaro/v1/provider/exceptions/range and /bookaro/v1/provider/exceptions/copy-week.
Limits #
The exception range query is capped — by default, 365 days. Override via the bookaro_exceptions_range_max_days filter.
