The Single Business lane is the right pick if you run one business and you do not want listings at all. No directory, no MyListing — just normal WordPress pages.
How it works #
- Provider mapping: Default Provider — provider-first, no listing requirement.
- Services model: Provider Only by default (you can switch to Admin Catalog Only or Hybrid).
- Placement: normal pages, shortcodes, or blocks.
- Dashboards needed: booking page, services page, provider dashboard page, customer dashboard page.
Setup steps #
- Open the Setup Wizard and pick Single Business.
- Set the Default Provider — the WP user who actually delivers the bookings.
- Assign pages: booking page, services page, provider dashboard, customer dashboard. The wizard creates them for you on request.
- Place the booking UI on your normal pages with
[bookaro_booking_form]or the matching block. - As the Default Provider, set weekly availability in Provider Dashboard.
- Test one booking end-to-end (see Getting Started → First booking test).
Important #
On Single Business, listing_id may be 0. Provider-only context (provider_id + service_id or provider_id + service_label) is fully valid. Reports and exports render stable provider/business labels for these records.
Common pitfalls #
- Default Provider not set → booking form will refuse to render. Re-run the Setup Wizard.
- Customer dashboard page missing → customers can’t see their booking history. Add a page with
[bookaro_customer_dashboard]. - Trying to use directory-style placement (sidebar entry) — there’s no listing here. Use shortcodes, blocks, or CSS selector insertion instead.
Pro features on this lane #
All Pro features available. Booking chat is the MyBookaro chat (not native MyListing messaging) and requires an active, valid Pro license.
