You can switch lanes after launch. Existing bookings remain in your database. Only the resolution rules change going forward.
How to switch #
- Run the Setup Wizard again.
- Pick the new lane and complete the per-lane configuration.
- Run System Status after switching to surface lane-mismatch warnings.
What changes #
| From → To | What you need to verify |
|---|---|
| MyListing → Single Business | Default Provider set; booking page assigned; sidebar entries no longer show on listings (expected). |
| MyListing → Generic Directory | Provider Resolution Mode set; services model picked; placement strategy chosen. |
| Generic Directory → MyListing | Repeater Row CSS Class set to mybookaro_services; listings have repeater rows filled in. |
| Generic Directory → Single Business | Default Provider set; booking page assigned; existing listing-tied bookings keep their listing_id reference. |
What does NOT change #
- Existing booking records.
- Provider availability rules, timeslots, exceptions.
- Customer accounts and history.
- Email notification settings.
Caveat #
If you switch from a directory lane to Single Business, listings that previously hosted bookings still exist as posts but no longer surface booking UI unless you keep the directory placement intact. Consider whether you want to retire the directory before switching.
